Who Knew Scam
I called the number after seeing an ad on TV for a $10 book with no shipping charge. After the automated call got my credit card number, it went through a long series of "Do you also want to purchase" to which I said no, then had to confirm no, then it went to the next item "Do you also want to purchase" and had to confirm the no for several items. I figured I could live with the $7.99 shipping charge. In spite of confirming no on all extra items, Who Knew shipped the extra books and charged my card $47.99. I was able to reach a person (in India) who tried to convince me that I should keep the books as Christmas presents, but finally gave me the instructions to return the books at my cost after I got really pissed. The customer service rep wasn't at all surprised when I said it was a scam and that I was going to file a complaint. He even offered the "Better Business Bureau"

I was watching the infomercial with my husband late Saturday night when we saw the commercial and decided to buy the book. After several nos on a very irritating upsells automated call and 30 min later I only wanted to buy the book for $10 plus $7.99 shipping and handling. Today at 7 am Monday Morning they took took $48.99 from my bank account. I had to call the website in which they still tried to upsell me and offer me more books in place of my money I cancelled the WHOLE order. I should have my money by Wed. if not my credit card company will be hearing about this. I was only interested because I figured a lot of the all natural tricks that I like to look up was all in one book. I will stick to Bing and Google THIS COMPANY SUCKS

Who Knew FRAUD!!!
Be weary...I began to purchase one copy of the Who Knew book from the "Secure Site". I put in my credit card details but accidentally put in the incorrect CVC detais on the back of my card as it was difficult to read. I was told the transaction was declined at the end of the call and did not persue to rectify the order. My bank also notified me by text that the transaction was declined. Four days later I get another notice from my bank that the transaction is being processed and not for my origional order of $10, but $51.97!!!!! I called the Who Knew help line (only available during specific times) to report the mistake. I was told just dont accept the books after shipping. I explained clearly that I do not understand how the cvc number was cleared as I supplied an incorrect one in addition to not ordering 5 books. There was no other solution offered other than to send them back and a refund would occur. I made mention that they would hold me responsible for shipping and that my card details were fradulently attained without any solution. I have since called my bank and await what they may suggest. This is Fraud as I do not understand how they cleared this transaction without correct details. The company also made up a flase order amount. I never ordered 5 books. STAY AWAY!!! Who KNEW?? I KNOW NOW!!!!

Gets credit card then doesn't charge as agreed
On Sunday, March 3, I ordered a book using the web site, which was to be $10 plus $7.99 shipping & handling. I gave my credit card information – then it took me through a number (more than 5) of screens asking if I wanted to add another book. There was also a screen trying to get me to buy store discount coupons. One book I decided to order for $14.99, as it said ordering it would give free shipping for the total order. As I finished my order, the shipping had not been removed, and my order totaled $32.98. I called the order confirmation number on the web site to complain. She tried for 2 minutes to convince me to buy the store discount coupons package. Finally she told me I would have to call customer service, but she did not have the number. The order confirmation email I received was a “do not reply” address. I finally found a contact number on the web site, but it said they were not available on Sunday. I was busy Monday, so on Tuesday morning, I called the customer service number (1-80*-777-****) and received “this is a non-working number” message. I am going to dispute the charge with my credit card company and hope to receive a full refund. I a soooo glad I did not order the coupon package - it offered $50 free Walmart and something else - and you could cancel in 30 days. Otherwise it was something like $40 per month.

I ordered the Who Knew book, thought the extreme coupons was a freebie... Got the bill and not only did they charge for the book (figured that was my mistake) but was charged $7.99 S&H PLUS $10 for "NON CONTINENTAL SHIPPING CHRG" Total of $37.88... What a rip... I was prepared to order many more as Christmas Gifts... They cut off their nose to spite their face... For those who want more info about these people... Who Knew?, 7850 Ruffner Ave., Dept 4000, Van Nuys, Cal., 91406, Tel 855-235-****... As taken from the packing slip.... They charged California sales tax on the first book plus and the S&H charges, questionable if this legit.

I ordered the Who Knew Book from a infomercial that I watched on TV. Was promised a Walmart Gift Card but told it would defray the cost of the shipping. Got no book or gift card. Filing a complaint with the BBB and the State Attorney General for Fraud. This has been a total waste of money and time. Would think that a fraud division of the Attorney General would have shut these people down. Will be filing a complaint with my bank, the Better Business Bureau and any other entities that I can locate to get these fraudsters shut down.

No free shipping, no live person
I was about to order the Who Knew books for $10.00 and as soon as I called an automated voice said I called just in time to receive free shipping. In then in the next breath, it said press 1 for debit, credit card, etc. payment and in the same breath said it would $10.00 plus $7.99 shipping. I hung up right away. They tried to see where I lived by my phone number, but you certainly wouldn't get my credit card that way. STAY AWAY FOLKS. WHO KNEW? WELL NOW WE KNOW. STAY AWAY. DON'T BE AN ***. DON'T ME MADE A FOOL OF. DO NOT BUY. DONT GET SUCKED IN. IS IT 100 WORDS YET?

Whoknewbooks scamming on orders
Ordered who knew books. Received email ship confirmation. Several days later got a call fr their processing center stating there was a problem w ith my original order and they needed to reorder the order again. I explained that i did get an email confirming shipment. They said i wouldnt be charged for first order and only for the second order. The next day i received the first order and checked my credit card staement and i was billed twice. The next day after that i was called again by their processing center stating once again that my order didnt get through and they wanted to reorder it again. I called their customer service twice. First time they said i only had one order in their system and the second charge was a fraud. Called back again and the customer service rep told me two orders r now showing in the system and i would have to refuse the shipment to get credited back. Im filing a dispute on credit card

Who Knew book
Purchased it as a gift. When I started to read it I realized it was not very good at all. Purchased a different gift. As far as Who New books (which many are educational and fun) this was lacking in both department. Nothing you didn't know, extremely vague. Many on things we no longer use. Big waste of ten bucks. If you need to do something search it online and you will get better results and its free. For ex: The pet ear mite treatment. Its old and not very good Online there were three which were far better using common products. Don't think "Lipstick on grass" is a real issue either. In the first three pages you will realize it a gimmick and some of the advice should never be tried. So tired of being had. Not worth donating, I tossed it.

Stay away from the "Who Knew" books. IT'S A SCAM
I was awake in the wee hrs of the night, saw the "who Knew" commercial and ordered the book. I made a mistake on my e-mail address, so I called the company. The heavy accented woman told me she'd be glad to cancel the order. She did say she didn't see it yet. I asked if I would be double billed, she reassured me it would be cancelled and re-ordered the first book & coupon and to pay only 7.99, I'd get a second set free. Well, the original order wasn't cancelled and I've been charged almost $75.00 When I called to complain, a heavy accented man apologized and said send it back. I don't want to pay S&H charges for something I was assured was cancelled.I asked to speak to a Supervisor, you guessed it, "another heavy accented man" spoke to me and apologized. I asked for the Corporate number and he said he didn't know it.Is there a language barrier or something? He said I could keep the books and he'd refund me $10, I'm on a fixed income, I Will Never Ever order anything from such a fraudulent company. If I had known about this one, they wouldn't have gotten a dime. That's about how much that book is worth!

Who knew books
In late Feb I watched a infomercial re: Who Knew Books" which sounded quite interesting and was told the cost was to be $29.99 and the shipping charges would be waived for anyone ordering at that time. When I asked about sending the order to Canada I was told there would be no problem but I was not informed abount any charge other that the $29.99 plus any difference in the money between Canada and the USA. Seeing that the Canadian money was at par with that of the US. I expected to be charged only the $29.99. The only time I became aware that my order was received was upon receiving my Master Card statement for March showing a charge of $62.13. I have not received the books (which I would have returned after being charged this outrageous amount) nor have I received anything else in reference to this. I am more that pissed off. (I see that you are showing a word count of my complaint and also a statement that you recommend a minimum 100 word count so I can go on and on for as long as I wish. I am surprised that you didn't recommend a maximum number instead of a minimum) I expect to see a complete refund to my Master Card account immediately.

Fraud re shipping charges
Before providing my credit card information to Who Knew Books the total cost of the order was itemitezed, including $7.99 for shipping charges. After providing credit card information I was provided confirmation with an additional $10 in shipping charges. I called to correct and was told it would take 24-48 hours before they received the order. I told the representative of the company to cancel the order, while she took the the information she indicated that there was no guarantee that the order would be canceled and that I would need to check back in 24-48 hours. Do not trust this company.
